Time flies...

 Hi all,

It has been a month or so since I posted.

A lot has happened in that time.

My dad passed away a few days ago. 

He was almost 91 and had been in the hospital. 

We were all around his bedside when he went 

and for that, I am grateful.

 I love you dad

I've been out painting a lot.

I forget how much I love plein air painting

until I get busy with other things and don't go anywhere.

I don't know about you guys but I am so excited 

for the upcoming fall season and the

changing of the colors. 

I can't wait to paint those golds!

I'm also starting on my ornaments soon and

will post them as they are finished.

Whew!

It's been over a month since I've checked in.

I can't say why I haven't been posting.

It's probably the coronavirus, it's hard to stay motivated

not knowing when we will actually be free of this.

So, I will let you know what I've been doing.

I am working on my HAPPY SOUL series.

I started at painting #90 and I am now working on painting #23.

That means I have painted 67 paintings!

I am trying to get motivated to start working on 

my ornaments. 

I ordered a ton of acrylic paintings for them and the next day

I got an email that they had cancelled the order because none

of the paints were in stock.

I also can't find my gloves ANYWHERE!

Because of the quarantine I guess.

Anyway, I will keep plugging along.

I have several commissions, and plan

to work on those this week.

Everybody, stay sane until this virus is over!

Hi all,

I know it's been a while since I checked in here.

I'd like to say I've been really busy,

but in truth, I have been doing a lot of resting, sleeping in, 

and just enjoying life, even through quarantine.

I eventually decided that I

was sort of wasting away creatively, 

so what did I decide to do?

Created myself a new Challenge!

I call them the HAPPY SOUL paintings.

These are paintings meant to uplift your

soul and make you happy.

I started with Painting #90,

and have worked my was down to Painting #55.

Here are a just a few:

I am having so much fun!

I am also having challenges.

I have scraped off three paintings so far,

and completely started over.

And been satisfied with the end results.

 Oh, I am also starting up my personal blog again,
"Mudbaths and Moonbeams."

This blog focuses on food, health,
 exercise and trying to live a healthy life.
Succeeding and failing.
Anything not art related.

I have started it and stopped it many times.
Maybe this one will stick!
I haven't posted anything new yet, but
will start tonight, time permitting.
Since I have SO much to do....
