"LITTLE HOLLIES"6"X6"
I love these hollyhocks! Can you tell that they're painted on panel instead of canvas? For some reason, hardboard panel gives me the opportunity to apply the paint much thicker (which is so fun) and it seems much more "painterly" and immediate instead of thought out so much or like a photograph.
This little painting just says "Spring" to me.
