"GLASSINE IRISES"

"GLASSINE IRISES"
8" x 8" Acrylic on Canvas
This painting has been sitting in the underpainting stages in my studio for some time now. I was inspired to finish it after going to the local greenhouse today and seeing all the beautiful flowers they have. I have no time to garden right now so I will just "garden" in my head and transfer the images to canvas. My neighbor always has the most incredible garden, I am going to set up my easel there this summer and just go crazy.

  1. Always a sign of summers approach. I love irises and this is a wonderful rendering.

PS - My sister just mailed me a copy of The Collector's Guide. Love the painting you have in it.

    Cara,
Thanks, I love irises too. They are probably my favorite. Thanks for writing. I sent the Collector's Guide to my cousin in Georgia - she misses NM too!
