These costumes are a little different. Very colorful but in a more linear way. They definitely remind me of Mexico or maybe Guatamala.
I'm thinking the dancers just finished a performance and they're resting again an adobe wall, maybe waving at some of their family or fans. I wanted to background to be very neutral so as not to compete with the beautiful skirts and blouses.
WOnderful painting. I recognised the adobe wall immediately.
