"NIGHT TREES, TAOS" work in progress

Hi guys,
I'm just checking in to let you know that I'm still working! This is a 12"x12" work in progress of a scene that I took in Taos a while back. Of course, it wasn't at night, but the trees reminded me of something mysterious and nocturnal, so it became an "evening" scene. I have chamisa in the foreground, those lovely "whatever they are" reddish-orange bushes and harvest fields in the middle ground, with little touches of pink and white throughout. Not my usual color scheme, but I think it works. I will post the final result when it's complete, which had better be today!

  1. I love your "night time" paintings. They are very mysterious. As a teen we would all hang out (outside) until the early morning hours and although we would be having a blast, at the same time the darkness was a little errie - Your painting evokes that same feeling in me - I love it!
