New Start

New Start

I haven't blogged in SO long.
It's been a super busy time and also
a fun, relaxing day-trip kind of summer.

I'm going to post photos in random order because I have so many.
Then, I will tell you about what's going on and what's coming up next.

Thanks for being patient with my tardiness!

The first thing I can remember is a three day weekend
painting trip to Taos with two artist friends.

Started off with a quick trip to Chimayo with my Nana

My Nana at Santuario de Chimayo

 Gotta get some Holy Chile

Nana putting a homemade cross in honor of our loved ones

On to the beautiful village of Truchas

 Crosses and memorials

 Beautiful countryside

Look at those colors! So pretty in person

 Church at Placita

 Ah, Taos! Arroyo Seco, specifically

Our beautiful home for the weekend

 Favorite truck at the mercantile

Morning sun at Ranchos de Taos

 Two Graces Gallery

Look who I ran into - Albert Handell and Walt Gonske!
I enticed them into posing for a picture.

The chile ristras were out in full force

Cow in the field next to our house
I caught his tail swishing around!

The beautiful magpie

Next, we took a trip to Abiquiu and Ghost Ranch:

 The Abiquiu Inn
I bought a cook Georgia O'Keefe cookbook

 The morada near O'Keefe's home
Beautiful view of the Espanola valley

 Looking for gold

 Oh, the colors!
Like a magical wonderland

I always wonder what made these beautiful colors and formations

 Ghost Ranch

The Rio Chama

Abiquiu Lake

Then it was on to Jemez:

Oh man, what a beautiful day this was!

And out last trip was to Madrid:

This was only a fraction of the 1000+ pictures I took of all of our trips
during the ten days my cousin was here, I miss her already!

Oh wait!
I forgot Corrales - saved the best for last.
I LOVE Corrales

 Chile ristra time!

 Lone morning glory

The church is always beautiful

Virginia Creeper in glorious fall color

The Sandia mountains and changing colors

The cranes are out

Beautiful in flight
