These paintings are from my trip to the Turquoise Trail - they're not dry yet so I can't scan them, therefore the actual color is off quite a bit. They will be on exhibit at Sumer and Dene gallery in downtown Albuquerque in about a week, along with 50 other Plein Air Painters of New Mexico's work. I'll post details tomorrow. It's so strange painting in oils and having to frame. And especially WAITING for oils to dry. I do love the rich look they have. I have a couple more but I think these are the two I'll be using. What do you think?
and other things.... This is my daily art blog. I'm artist Dee Sanchez and I live and work in Alameda, New Mexico - the land of blue skies, red hills, and three unique cultures. What a beautiful place to paint! Join me on my daily painting quest, my plein air adventures, my video logs, my "getting ready for a show" preparations, my painting tips, and I may even throw in an opinion or two...I also document my struggles with getting healthy and my crazy family life
