No matter what subjects I paint, I always seem to come back to sunflowers. I guess they make me feel grounded. I can't wait to go to Bosque del Apache in August and see all of the sunflowers combined with the wetlands there. When I went a few weeks ago, all I saw were the spent blooms of stands and stands of sunflowers. I can't wait. I have two challenge paintings I'm working on, and guess what?
