Stages

working on painting #2, "CANYON ROAD GERANIUMS"

 Just a few photos of the past week. We just framed the last painting this afternoon and are getting ready to do a painting by painting inventory and numbering of the frames. 
And it's 11:55pm!

my basic palette for all 150 paintings: titamium white, cad yellow light, cad yellow medium, cad orange, cad red light, napthol scarlet, permanent rose, cad green light, sap green, violet grey, dioxazine purple, cerulean blue, ultramarine blue, asphaltum, prussian blue 
Thankyou colors, for seeing me through!

 my little jars full of Gamblin odorless mineral spirits and my paint tubes 

 gloves, kleenix tissues, wipees, panels, etc.

 my rolling cart full of resource materials, brush cleaner, tape

 framing supplies: sawtooth hangers (easier for the gallery to hang with so many in the show), 
wood screws, brackets, nails

garage framing supplies: frames, my glasses, hammer, screwdriver, yardstick, Sharpie, drill

 paintings waiting to be framed

 17 boxes of completed paintings to be delivered to the gallery

  2. What a great look inside the magic!! Thanks for sharing. It sure is a HUGE amount of work. But, I guess any journey worthwhile is not an easy road. All of your fans love that you include us in your thoughts and make each painting as personal to us as it is to you.

  3. thanks guys, it'a done and I am in the aftermath - which means I'm not inspired or motivated. I remember a boxer who just passed way that said after every fight, there's a huge crash. Sort of what every large project I do feels like. But it always passes after a couple of weeks.
