Gosh, I have been busy!

Taking a lot of photos these last few weeks.

I don't know why, I am really drawn to Corrales right now.

A group of us are painting there twice a week and it is challenging but fun.

I went to Santa Fe a couple of weeks to hear Carl Judson speak.

He is the owner of Judson Outfitters and

travels all over America, painting whenever and 

wherever he feels like. Very nice and knowledgeable man!

GARDEN TOUR

The garden Tour is over.

And man, it was a blast!

A few scenes:

 Here I am painting in Garden #6.

No trees on this property, but lots of cool flowers, pathways, and sculptures.

I am using a new box and I really likes it.

It's called a Z Box and it worked just fine for me.

Paints "worms" on the two sides and the inside tray for mixing.

 This was the scene I chose to paint.

Blanketflowers intermixed with purple.

 My initial block in.

I was not thrilled with the outcome of this painting, which is why I'm not showing it here.

The sun was in my eyes and partially on my canvas.

Not a good scenario.

I found out that this beautiful pink/purple flower is called Sand Penstemon.

Gotta get me some....

THE GARDEN TOUIR PLEIN AIR PAINTING EXHIBITION

is open to the public today (Tuesday), from 10-2pm.

Tomorrow (Wednesday), is the last day and the exhibition will be open

from 10am - 5pm.

Garden Two

GARDEN TWO

I checked out Garden Number Tour on the 

Corrales Garden Tour coming up this weekend.

Beautiful grounds - it looks like a big park under the tall cottonwoods.

I was not so sure about the names of some of the flowers.

This is not a garden that I am painting at, 

so I just admired the flowers for their beauty.

 I do know iris!

These were beautiful shades of purple with yellow yarrow in the background.

 A cool rose that was different shades of orange, pink, and yellow!

I want one of these in my yard!

 These look like coreopsis, but maybe a double variety.

Keep deadheading these and they will come back all summer.

 Hmm, what are these?

Kimd of look like gladiolas but I know they're not.

 Had to pass by the ditchbank and the old sign.

I love to paint this scene, especially in the fall.

 I took a few more photos of the old church. 

I will have three church paintings to exhibit along with my garden paintings.
