 This scene is one of my favorites.

As you come out of the mountain pass, coming into Taos,

you have the most beautiful view of the Rio Grande Gorge, 

the Taos mountains, and sunflowers in full bloom.

It never fails to take my breath away.
I often wish I lived at this spot just so I could see the sunrises
and sunsets surrounding that whole area.

This painting is painted with a palette knife
and is thick and juicy.

My 145 Challenge is coming along so nicely - I'm loving it!

I'm getting ready to pack up and start taking some day trips and

I also just sent 705 images to the store to be developed, so I will have lots of inspiration!

Little Luna Gallery, Madrid, New Mexico

the new Little Luna Gallery in Madrid, New Mexico.

Weems Show opens tomorrow

These are just a few of the paintings I have in the Weems Gallery group show opening tomorrow at Lousiana and Montgomery NE. The show is titled "Flowers and Still Life" and from what I saw when I went to take my paintings in, the show is going to be fantastic. Lots of great floral art - and some wonderful still lifes too.

I had to post these - I've been working pretty hard today - I only have 14 days until I have to have everything ready for Artfest. Wow, I can't believe it's here already.

It's different this year, framing everything. More work and thought have to go into it, but I think the booth will look beautiful this year. At least I hope so. More tomorrow!
