Near La Luz Trail
Sandia BackroadsWell, I had a fun morning. Got to the trailhead about 8:45am. I ended up not painting there. I headed back north and snuck up to La Luz and La Cueva trails. I stopped a couple of places and took lots of pics for future paintings. It's interesting - I ended up doing a couple of paintings
in the front seat of my car! The canvases are so small and I just put everything on the passenger seat next to me, parked in the shade as much as possible, and painted away. Acrylics dry so fast (most plein air is done in oil) that being in the car is a blessing. Plus it was very windy, so I just rolled the windows down and felt like I had the best of both worlds - being outside but semi-comfortable. I will work on these paintings some more in the studio and then post them on
the blog for sale. Enjoy your day!
