"CANYON LADIES"
16"X20"
ARTFEST PAINTING #7
This painting has an interesting history. It started out as three canyon women facing forward. It sat here in my studio for over a year because I didn't know what I wanted their faces to look like. I found it a couple of days ago and it just said "dancers" to me. They fit right in with the sky and background and they are nestled in their little canyon. And I still don't know what I want their faces to look like!
Yesterday I went on day trip to Pecos. We ate at Bobcat Bites, home of one the best green chile hamburgers in the world. We saw beautiful little New Mexico churches, streams, rivers, etc., and had a wonderful time. So wonderful I am having a hard time getting back to work! I will post Pecos photos in a few.
