My daughter wanted to spirit this painting away from me as soon as she saw it. I want it for Artfest but we worked out a settlement of sorts; she is letting me paint a replica of a poppy painting she has that I did for my mom when I was 17, and I am letting her have this painting. Somehow I think I am getting the short end of the stick but it sounded good when she said it! i will paint another one or two paintings of this photo for Artfest anyway. The sunsets coming home from Taos and Santa Fe to Albuquerque are spectacular!
