I decided to try something a little different for my first daily painting in a while. I was shuffling through photos I've taken and this wooden Indian jusy popped out at me. The lighting in the picture is really cool, almost white, coming in from the right. And the idea of him having to stand next to a sign that says, "Wild West T's" is so ironic. I think he's holding cigars, but I'm not sure. I tried to capture the boredom on his face in a whimsical fashion - he wants to be on a horse somewhere, riding the flatlands of New Mexico.
