I need LOTS of practice painting these hills - they are so hard. Even if you just put a note of color where you see it, there are so many shadows and variations - and I am IMPATIENT. I still haven't been able to match the beautiful muted orange-gold that I saw when I was looking up at them. I guess practice might make perfect one day.

I would like to thank everyone who participated in the Studio Sale - that was crazy for me. I felt like I was posting every two minutes! I sold 10 paintings, kept one for myself, and have 7 left. I have been working hard and with the studio tour going on last weekend, I haven't had time to post all of my Artfest paintings. You will see them starting to pop up now. I have 48 paintings (counting a couple from the 150 show and a few from the Weems show that just finished). The next few weeks are going to be absolutely crazy.
