Iris have to be one of my top five favorite flowers, especially for fragrance. And they are so easy to grow. When my girls were small, we went to an iris farm in Cerillos, NM, and there were just rows and rows of beautiful flowers, all different colors. I'm going to dig up some old photos so I can show you the real thing. I don't even know if it's still there. I'm also doing a challenge painting like this one, the size is 8"x16."
