I have a collector who has become a dear friend - and I wanted to paint this for him.
Coming upon these tunnels was a complete surprise and we all had a wonderful time that day.
I was just playing with this, it's not really to scale but I hope it reminds him (and Marilyn) of that day.
Oh my gosh! This is so beautiful - it makes me so anxious for August.

ReplyDeleteGreat painting! We went to Jemez to find the tunnels - never found them but had a wonderful day anyway. So glad you did and this great painting was born.
