The lavender festival is over and I am exhausted - mostly from the heat. It was great though. I sold about 30 paintings, signed posters and t-shirts, saw old friends, and met lots of new ones. People picked lavender, bought lavender products, fresh organic produce, plants, took workshops, ate good food, saw wildlife presentations, listened to good music. I loved it. Carla Forrest is the president of the Plein Air Painters of New Mexico and she was there beside me so we met lots of plein air painters, a few people who just "dabble" in art, and lots of artists and "want to be" artists. No one painted because it was SO hot. Oh, and I almost bought a fig tree, but forgot!
