I've been wanting to take part in a new weekly challenge put on by the group Daily Paintworks. Someone from the group puts up a photo and a challenge and people paint their version. The challenges so far have been things like; painting a Zippo lighter using only three colors - white, burnt sienna, and ultramarine blue, painting a rose, dividing a canvas into parts and giving yourself ten minutes to paint an object in each part...fun things like that. This one I believe is called the One Stroke Challenge. A blast to paint and I think it ended up looking just lovely.
